During Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the UK in 2015, the UK-China Joint Statement highlighted a shared commitment ‘to boost cultural and educational links’ and the Department for International Trade organised with Gaia Technologies (a leading company in educational technology) this visit by 20 Chinese delegates to Tudor Park Education Trust.
Victoria Eadie (CEO of Tudor Park) and Jay Lockwood (Principal of Logic Studio School) both gave presentations to the delegates on the educational offer provided by Tudor Park both at Springwest Academy and Logic Studio School including our strategic partnership with Gaia Technologies.
They were given the opportunity to visit Logic and see learning in action. Mr Pett was delivering a computer science lesson to Yr10 with some Chinese interpretation presented on his slides. The delegates were reluctant to leave the lesson as they also enjoyed the learning that was taking place!
They visited another specialist IT lesson which was being delivered by a professional from Gaia, which showed the partnership work in action, delivering the specialist curriculum.
Finally, they were given a demonstration of the power of 3D learning, travelling through the heart in the main hall at Springwest.
It was an honour to welcome the delegates to Tudor Park and we wish them a fruitful visit during the rest of their time in the UK.
