Year 12 have had an exciting start to their year at Logic. Not only have their lessons been fun and engaging but they have been lucky enough to participate in a range of great enrichment opportunities.
Wednesdays have been all about employment. Students are preparing for their work placements which start in November and are involved in workshops to help them prepare CV’s, take part in interviews and learn about their social media profiles. We are lucky enough to have been supported by some fantastic companies including RBS, SAP Technologies, DHL, Perform, as well as a number of local HR advisors.
Students have had the opportunity to take part in a range of off-site trips and activities. We visited Sky TV studios and spent a day working on designing a new brand as part of Sky’s marketing department and also got to see the news recorded live and up close. They spent an afternoon taking part in teambuilding and water sports at Thames Young Mariners; and competed in a London Scramble – a wacky treasure hunt around central London.
In school, students continue to undertake new and exciting activities, many of which are challenging them to improve and develop their personal skills. Coding with Gaia, Outdoor Survival (to prepare for an October camping trip), Yoga, Weight training and Chess are just some of the options available to the 6th form this half term.
